The V-Twin 72053 V-Fire Big Twin Overhead Valve Auto Advance Distributor is designed for 1966–1969 Harley-Davidson FL applications. This kit includes an updated auto-advance points plate, stock hold-down clamp, and lead wire. The specified point gap is .018 inch.

Installation requires removal of the front head. There is no mark on the cam, so the unit must be timed at cylinder top dead center. V-Twin recommends upgrading the points set and suggests using the distributor with the 42-0300 Chrome Distributor Top, 42-1279 Replica Distributor Top Chrome, and 32-0156 Blue Streak Ignition Point Set.
