V-Twin 22-0589 Kick Starter Conversion Kit Black for 2007–2016 Harley-Davidson XL

The V-Twin 22-0589 Kick Starter Conversion Kit Black adds a kick-starting system while retaining the electric starter. The kit includes a mainshaft with an integral gear set and one-piece forged construction, a kick-start cover, kick gear assembly, and transmission mainshaft with a natural finish. The kicker arm and rubber pedal feature a chrome finish.

The kicker cover is milled to allow use of the original exhaust bracket, while the kickstarter gear is mounted on the side of the pulley for easier access. This kit must be used with forward controls or require relocation of the master cylinder. Installation requires transmission disassembly to replace the mainshaft, and the motor case must be split. Mechanical and technical expertise is required for installation.
