SOLAS, the technology leader in the impeller design, creates lots of outstanding advantages built into its products. All SOLAS impellers are made of an ultra high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel, and are cast in a one-piece mold without bending the edges of the blades to achieve the perfect pitch.

The SOLAS YV-TP-12/20 Twin Prop Impeller 12/20 is designed using SOLAS impeller technology. It is made from ultra high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and cast in a one-piece mold. This manufacturing process avoids bending the blade edges to help achieve the intended pitch.

Impeller pitch affects acceleration, top speed, and operating conditions. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.

Depending on the desired RPM and speed, limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application. A lower-than-stock pitch may be suitable for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter, or for high-altitude and high-temperature applications where horsepower is reduced, when applicable. Reduced pitch can also accommodate higher carried weight by limiting the volume of water through the pump.

The SOLAS YV-TP-12/20 Twin Prop Impeller 12/20 provides a stainless steel, one-piece construction for applications where impeller pitch selection is matched to the desired performance characteristics.

Features:

  • Construction: Made from ultra high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
  • Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges.
  • Pitch selection: Smaller pitches can improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
  • Performance: Increasing pitch can decrease acceleration and increase top speed.
  • Higher-power applications: A higher pitch than stock can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
  • Application flexibility: Limited and modified impeller recommendations can be used depending on desired RPM and speed.
  • Operating conditions: Lower pitch than stock can be used for applicable re-flashed ECU, high-altitude, or high-temperature applications.
  • Load management: Reduced pitch can be used for higher carried weight to limit the volume of water through the pump.
