SOLAS, the technology leader in the impeller design, creates lots of outstanding advantages built into its products. All SOLAS impellers are made of an ultra high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel, and are cast in a one-piece mold without bending the edges of the blades to achieve the perfect pitch.

The SOLAS SX-FY-09/14 Twin Fly Impeller is designed with SOLAS impeller technology to support performance-focused watercraft applications. Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the impeller is cast in a one-piece mold. This manufacturing approach avoids bending the blade edges and helps achieve the intended pitch profile.

Impeller pitch influences acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, while increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock, while a lower-than-stock pitch may be appropriate for certain applications where additional engine speed or available horsepower is needed.

The SOLAS SX-FY-09/14 may also be considered for high-altitude or high-temperature conditions where horsepower is reduced, or for applications carrying higher weight where reduced pitch can help limit the volume of water moving through the pump. Limited and Modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the desired RPM and speed. Review application requirements carefully before selecting an impeller pitch.

Brand: SOLAS
SKU: 20-8065
Part Number: SX-FY-09/14

Features:

  • Construction: Made from ultra-high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
  • Manufacturing: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges to achieve the intended pitch.
  • Acceleration: Smaller pitches can improve acceleration while reducing top speed.
  • Top Speed: Increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed.
  • Horsepower Applications: A higher-than-stock pitch can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
  • RPM Applications: A lower-than-stock pitch can be used with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter for more RPM when applicable.
  • Operating Conditions: A lower-than-stock pitch can be used for high-altitude or high-temperature applications where horsepower is lost when applicable.
  • Load Applications: Reduced pitch can be used for higher weight to be carried to limit the volume of water through the pump.
  • Application Recommendations: Limited and Modified impeller recommendations can be used in either application depending on desired RPM and speed.
