SOLAS, the technology leader in the impeller design, creates lots of outstanding advantages built into its products. All SOLAS impellers are made of an ultra high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel, and are cast in a one-piece mold without bending the edges of the blades to achieve the perfect pitch.

The SOLAS SRZ-FY-09/14 Twin Fly Impeller is designed with SOLAS impeller technology to support performance-focused watercraft applications. SOLAS manufactures its impellers from ultra high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and casts each impeller in a one-piece mold. This construction avoids bending the blade edges and helps achieve the intended pitch.

Impeller pitch affects the balance between acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, whereas increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.

Depending on the desired RPM and speed, limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application. A lower-than-stock pitch may be appropriate for watercraft with a re-flashed ECU that increases the rev limiter, or for high-altitude and high-temperature applications where horsepower is reduced, when applicable. Reduced pitch can also support higher carried weight by limiting the volume of water moving through the pump.

The SOLAS SRZ-FY-09/14 Twin Fly Impeller is identified by part number SRZ-FY-09/14 and is built for applications where impeller pitch selection is used to adjust acceleration, speed and operating conditions.
