The Joe Hunt 1282LB 42 Magneto Head Only for Indian provides a simple installation in place of the stock ignition. It is designed to deliver a hotter spark, helping increase horsepower and reliability for applicable Indian Chief applications from 1937 through 1946.

Timing adjustments are made by rotating the magneto housing. The magneto can be operated with the stock ignition for street use or independently for racing applications, offering flexibility for different ignition setups.
