Jims Case Bearing Conversion Tool 959

Using the special Jims precision insert this tool is designed to easily and accurately convert the left side crank roller bearing to the more durable Timken Bearing.

The Jims Case Bearing Conversion Tool 959 includes one bearing insert held under .002 inch TIR (total indicator reading). The bearing is manufactured from aerospace-quality steel, which is several times stronger than the aluminum case material in which the standard bearing rides. A press plate is included to help hold the bearing insert in line with the case bearing bore during installation.

The tool also includes the necessary drill bits for oil feed and return holes, along with hardware. The job can be performed using normal hand tools, a hand drill, and a 2-ton press. This tool is intended for big late-model Twin Cam 88 and 96 cubic-inch engines. Installation requires the Jims #16-0688 Swingarm Bearing Puller Tool for race installation.

Timken bearings and any additional bearing inserts must be ordered separately. The product has a USA country of origin and is supplied as one each. Refer to the manufacturer’s installation instructions for application and procedure details.
