The Jims 2464-1 Hydraulic Tappet Assembly .005 is designed for use with specified 1953–1962 Harley-Davidson FL applications. This hydraulic tappet assembly is supplied as an individual unit and is intended to support proper pushrod and tappet adjustment procedures.

Order the hydraulic unit and nuts separately. During adjustment, the tappet may make the pushrod tight. Wait 5–15 minutes or longer for the hydraulic tappet to fully bleed off, and do not rotate the engine while the pushrods are tight. After the tappet has bled off, the pushrod should spin with your fingers. Never turn the engine over if the pushrod will not spin freely by hand after adjustment.
