The Volt Tech XL Replica Magneto Driveshaft Assembly, SKU 32-1680, recreates the Sportster advance mechanism factory supplied from 1965 through 1970 on XLCH models. This kit includes a cast iron base with pre-installed bushings, drive ring, and center hub, all finished in cadmium white zinc. The assembly also includes the spiral drive tachometer component as original.

The drive gear must be installed with a drive gear pin. During installation, press the pin into place and grind off any excess length. The base accepts an EX drive magneto unit, cable-driven gear, and a 34 1/4-inch tachometer cable. The tachometer drive gear and cable are available separately, and the magneto head must be ordered separately.
