The Jims 2462-1 Standard Hydraulic Tappet is designed for listed 1953–1962 Harley-Davidson FL applications. This tappet is supplied without internals, so the hydraulic unit must be ordered separately.

During adjustment, the tappet may make the pushrod tight. Wait 5–15 minutes or longer for the hydraulic tappet to fully bleed off. Do not rotate the engine while the pushrods are tight. After the tappet has bled off, the pushrod should spin with your fingers. Never turn the engine over if the pushrods will not spin with your fingers after adjustment.
