Volt Tech 12 Volt 32E Alternator Kit, SKU 32-1282

Generator to alternator 12 volt 32E conversion kit includes a black body and chrome end cover alternator with a solid state regulator.

The Volt Tech 12 Volt 32E Alternator Kit, SKU 32-1282, is designed for conversion applications using a 12-volt battery system, which must be ordered separately. The regulator must be mounted by a technician as desired. The alternator body uses 1/4-24 threads to fit models equipped with 32E or 52K generators, allowing the use of original screws in applicable installations.

The mounting flange includes holes for 1/4-24 x 5/16-24 mounting screws. The shaft is splined as a 65A/12V generator armature. This alternator replaces 6- and 12-volt, 2- and 3-brush generators on 1958-1969 FL Harley models and replaces 1936-1957 3-brush and 1958-1969 2-brush generators. The correct gear and bolt kit must be ordered for installation.

Technical notes indicate output of 7.8 amps at 2,000 RPM, 8.5 amps at 3,000 RPM, and 8.9 amps at 4,000 RPM. Suggested gear kits include the Volt Tech 45 Generator Gear Kit, SKU 32-1547, and the 13 Tooth Generator Gear Kit, SKU 32-0204. Screws, gear and oil deflector kit, correct mount bolts, gasket, and washers are ordered separately as required. The listed fitment includes 1941-1950 Harley-Davidson FL models.
