SOLAS, the technology leader in the impeller design, creates lots of outstanding advantages built into its products. All SOLAS impellers are made of an ultra high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel, and are cast in a one-piece mold without bending the edges of the blades to achieve the perfect pitch.

The SOLAS SX4-TP-13/16 Twin Prop Impeller is designed with SOLAS impeller technology and manufactured from high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Its one-piece molded construction helps maintain consistent blade pitch without bending the blade edges, supporting precise impeller performance.

Impeller pitch affects acceleration and top speed. A smaller pitch can improve acceleration while reducing top speed, while increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed. A higher-than-stock pitch may be suitable for watercraft with more horsepower than stock, depending on the desired performance characteristics.

Application recommendations can vary according to engine setup, operating conditions, desired RPM, and speed. Limited and modified impeller recommendations may be used in either application depending on the intended results. Where applicable, a lower-than-stock pitch may be used with a re-flashed ECU that raises the rev limiter, or for high-altitude and high-temperature operation where horsepower is reduced. Reduced pitch may also help accommodate higher carried weight by limiting the volume of water moving through the pump.

Brand: SOLAS. Part number: SX4-TP-13/16. SKU: 20-8063.

Features:

  • Construction: Made from high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
  • Molded design: Cast in a one-piece mold without bending the blade edges to achieve the intended pitch.
  • Pitch tuning: Smaller pitch can improve acceleration and reduce top speed.
  • Speed adjustment: Increasing pitch can reduce acceleration and increase top speed.
  • Higher-power applications: A higher-than-stock pitch can be used for watercraft with more horsepower than stock.
  • Operating conditions: Lower-than-stock pitch may be used for applicable re-flashed ECU, high-altitude, or high-temperature applications.
  • Load management: Reduced pitch may be used for higher carried weight to limit water volume through the pump.
