The Motorshop Panhead 74-Inch Short Block, SKU 10-2121, is designed for builders assembling a Panhead engine. This unit features replica crankcases, a Sifton oil and breather assembly, a stock-stroke flywheel, and a Timken main bearing assembly. The stock cam is properly installed with a matched pinion and cam gear with Torrington bearing.

The assembly includes a natural cam cover and lifter blocks fitted with standard tappets. The number boss is blank, allowing the builder to stamp numbers to match the year of the Panhead being assembled. The lower-end tapered bearing is the 1969-up style.

This short block fits 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, and 1962 Harley-Davidson FL models. The unit is supplied as one each. Shaft Turning Tool SKU 16-1378 and Sprocket Shaft Bearing Nut Wrench Tool SKU 16-0153 are required for use with this assembly. Suggested complementary items include a 4-Inch Stroke V-Twin Flywheel Assembly, Panhead Cam Chest Assembly Kit, Sifton Solid Tappet Kit with Alloy Finish, and Polished Oil Pump Assembly.
